If you have not heard, Herriman is home to a professional sports franchise, the Utah Warriors – one of 8 teams in Major League Rugby – who have partnered with CBS Sports and ESPN for the 2018 season. The Warriors will play their home games at Zions Bank Stadium at RSL Academy and they are offering Herriman Residents (including HHS employees) free tickets to their first game this Friday 3/30 (the game is being played at Rio Tinto Stadium until Zions Stadium is ready). See the attachment on instructions on getting up to 4 free tickets. If those are gone, you can also get them if you have a Pass of all Passes with the promo code POAP. The owner is a friend of mine and we have been talking for some time about doing something big for Herriman, they really want to embrace the Herriman community and the High School with lots of outreach. One of our Business students, Conor Spahr, is working for them as an intern, and our club members will be serving as their ball boys for the season. I’ve got 7 of my former players on the roster, so I’m really excited as well!
If you go to the game and like what you see and want to attend more games, or can’t make it to this one, our Herriman High Rugby club members are selling discount tickets for all Warriors home games as a fundraiser to help raise travel costs to nationals, just contact me or speak to one of our players and they can get those to you at under retail price.
